Visit Scottsdale
Plan time for Scottsdale’s restaurants, galleries, shopping, and desert surroundings. Explore the guides below, then arrange transportation around your reservations and the places you want to visit.
Old Town is a walkable area with galleries, museums, and evening dining. North Scottsdale stretches toward trailheads, resorts, and shopping districts that call for a vehicle. Phoenix attractions sit a short drive west; Salt River recreation sits farther east.
For hours, tickets, and trail conditions, use each destination’s official site.

Plan by the time you have
-
A few hours
One focused district: Old Town galleries, Fashion Square, or a single museum. Point-to-point with a scheduled return keeps the window simple.
-
Half day
Two related stops—Arts District and Civic Center museums, or shopping plus a late lunch. Leave buffer for tickets, heat, and time between stops.
-
Full day
Morning outdoors or architecture, afternoon shopping or resort time, evening dining. Hourly chauffeur service keeps a vehicle with you when the day includes several stops.
-
Multiple days
Give Old Town, North Scottsdale, and Phoenix excursions their own days. Use golf transportation and resort transportation when those plans are part of the stay.
Old Town, North Scottsdale, and nearby excursions
Old Town
A compact walkable district: Arts District, Civic Center, Western museums, boutiques, and evening dining. Fashion Square sits immediately north.
North Scottsdale
Resorts, golf, Kierland Commons, Scottsdale Quarter, Airpark business, and trailheads into the McDowell Sonoran Preserve. Distances stretch, so allow driving time between stops.
Nearby excursions
Camelback Mountain, Papago Park, Phoenix Zoo, and Desert Botanical Garden sit in Phoenix (or on the Phoenix/Paradise Valley edge). Salt River tubing is a seasonal trip east of Scottsdale.

Transportation planning
For tee times and travel between your hotel and the course, use golf transportation. For airport arrivals and hotel pickups, use resort transportation. Choose hourly chauffeur service when you want a vehicle to stay with you between stops.
A scheduled transfer suits one destination. A scheduled return works for museums, trailheads, and shopping when you can name a pickup window after the visit.
Private aviation through Scottsdale Airport and transfers from Phoenix Sky Harbor are covered on the aviation and PHX service pages. Vehicle class is confirmed when you book.
